Eko Ranger Guitar Serial Numbers10/27/2022 ![]() 123 years agomy first electric guitar in 1973 was an eko semi hollowbody with one pickup. A buddy of mine also has the Eko version of it, so he'll play it on some of our original acoustic tunes that we do. Not a bad guitar and the electronics even worked yet, but I had a hard time bonding with the sound of a 12-string and ended up giving it to my brother. 113 years agoA few years back I briefly had a Vox Folk 12 Electric 12-string acoustic. 103 years agoI bought mine in Milwaukee, and that music shop was the sole US Importer and Distributor.LoDuca was the name.apparently a family connection. With a little effort and cost, a vintage E85 can be upgraded like mine and you'll have a terrific guitar. Glad to see most models are being made again but I don't think the E85 is. ![]() This facilitated installation of the LR Baggs Anthem microphone/transducer pickup system which rocks! These guitars of mine are terrific. ![]() She also took out the bridge system, seamlessly filled in the hole and then installed a bone bridge. Here in BC for the E85, I had Nicole replace the plastic nut with bone and replace the cheap tuners with a set of gold Grover Imperial Stairstep tuners. The fingerboard radius was taken down to be a bit flatter as well. Both these guitars came with an adjustable - raise and lower - bridge and the 12 string an aluminum nut. At the same time, I also had the neck shaved down and Vee-ed slightly to my design and every player who picks it up marvels at the shape and feel of the neck. It also has a 1.8' wide neck (at the nut) which I need. #Eko Ranger Guitar Serial Numbers serial numbersEko Ranger Guitar Serial Numbers DatingĪround 1990 I noticed the neck beginning to come away slightly at the heel so I had it reset by my luthier in Ontario and it's been solid ever since. This is a very rare model as it has a 'proper' set-in neck, not the standard Eko bolt on neck. In '79 I bought an Eko 85 dreadnaught 6 string acoustic. They were built like a tank and being cheap, they weren't treated with a lot of respect because they could always run out and buy another if it got too beat up or destroyed.I bought a Ranger 12 in Barcelona in '69 and toted it around with me as I bummed around Europe, like many thousands did back then. 93 years agoAh.Eko guitars! Back in the 60's & 70's the cheap acoustics were popular with bands (in the east) as knock-around guitars to use for practicing and writing.
